Frequently asked questions

How do I import a recipe?

From the Cookbook tab, tap the pencil icon to write a recipe by hand, the photo icon to import from a photo of a written recipe, or the link icon to import from a copied website URL.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Cookflow works fully on your device without an account. Cloud sync, if you enable it, uses an anonymous connection — no email or password required.

Why didn't a recipe import correctly?

Some websites format recipes in ways our parser can't fully read. If a recipe imports with missing or incorrect ingredients/steps, you can edit it directly in the app — and please email us the recipe URL so we can improve parsing for that site.

How does connecting Kroger or Walmart work?

Connecting Kroger signs you into your own Kroger account (we never see your password) so Cookflow can add matched items to your cart. Walmart uses a hand-off: Cookflow sends your list to the Walmart app or site, where you finish shopping directly.

How do I delete my data?

Deleting a recipe, menu, or list item in the app removes it immediately, including from cloud sync if enabled. To remove everything, delete the app. For any remaining questions about your data, email us — see our Privacy Policy for details.

I found a bug — what should I include in my report?

The recipe or URL involved, what you expected to happen, what happened instead, and your iOS version if you know it. Screenshots help a lot.
